Our Story
Outshine Cancer was born out of the lived experiences of Stage IV colorectal cancer patient Diego Rojas and his caregiver, Becky Dieffenbach. Their journey through surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments has illuminated critical gaps in the non-clinical support available to cancer patients and their families. While the medical treatment pathway is often well-defined, emotional and mental health resources for patients and caregivers are limited, inconsistent, or difficult to access. Outshine Cancer addresses this gap by offering compassionate, non-clinical support to cancer patients and caregivers at their fingertips, leveraging digital platforms and a community-driven model of support.
